Can you believe ½ of 2019 has already come to an end. What now? Reflect back on those resolutions and goals you set for yourself. It’s time to be in full throttle mode and completely crush those goals.
As I am currently reflecting back on the resolutions I set for myself at the beginning of the year I noticed that I started with categories; personal, relationship, work, and continue…
I am glad to say I accomplished my work goals which were to create a nail polish remover for Júwon and quit teaching. Our Soy Lavender Nail Polish Remover smells amazing and is infused with vitamins that keep your nail beds moisturized. It is an oil so beware and ensure you wash your hands immediately after use to refrain staining the bottle, clothing, or furniture.
A few of my personal goals I accomplished were to show more selflove, ignore ignorance, and travel abroad. In the past, I always felt the need to confront others in their lies or negative thoughts about politics, females, rights, bias statements, etc. However, as I grow, I am learning (the hard way) to listen and surround myself with likeminded individuals. I can ignore the ignorance and live my best Júwon life while traveling and loving myself more.
A huge relationship goal of mine was to NOT have a 2019 baby. My husband and I want kids, but we knew that this wasn’t the year for us. We always stated we wanted to accomplish more of our personal goals and start a family once we were more stable. Our heart has always been set on adoption as well as biological kids of our own. Guess we will see what the future holds for us!
The continue category focused on the characteristics I held in the past and will continue to hold. That consisted of continuing to be honest, being spiritual on a personal and private level (I strongly believe religion starts in your home and not on your social media), and limiting my social media usage. I rarely/never use my personal IG account to help maintain a maximum of 1 hr. social media per day.
There are still plenty of goals and bucket list accomplishments that are on-going projects. Unaccomplished goals are not failures unless we choose to give up on them. We have 6 more months and a lifetime to work toward the finish line. Some goals set are easier, and cheaper, to master than others.
While running a business, and balancing life, creating goals provides me stability and structure to refrain from chaos and stress. There is something about putting pen to paper and having a visual to aid transforming an idea into reality. So if you have a bunch of thoughts floating in your mind I suggest grabbing a paper and pen and writing it all out to organize those ideas and help you sleep better at night with intentional days.
Júwon Enamel has many more launches ahead and I can't wait for you all to see the growth within the years!
